Las Vegas City of
lights
I was very exited
when I got a ten-year visa to visit the United States of America. My
destination was Las Vegas, stopping at Los Angeles for the transfer.
The 24-hour
Malaysian airlines flight was actually the longest flight I had taken. The
change of time zones made me really tired when I landed at Los Angeles
airport.
It was past midnight when I landed at LAX airport also called Tom Bradley InternationalAirport. Immediately I booked a budget airline- South West Airlines to Las Vegas. Meantime, I had a short rest at LAX airport.
It was a short flight before I arrived at Las Vegas airport.
I have heard of Casinos and I knew that Las Vegas was famous for that. What surprised me was even the airport has Casinos. I arrived at the airport late in the night and straight away headed to my hotel situated in the Strip.
I reached the hotel in the wee hours of the morning and I was shocked to see Las Vegas awake. This is a city which never goes to sleep and this is the most illuminated city in the world. I stayed at the Monte Carlo Hotel and it is on the Strip.
This hotel is huge and has a big Casino on the ground floor. The hotel is close to everything and is very comfortable.

At the Hotel Casino |
The Strip has
established it as one of the most popular destinations for tourists in
the United States,
and the world. Here, hotels are
destinations unto themselves. Las Vegas, Nevada is world-famous for its glitz, glitter, gambling, and fantasy-related allure. It therefore comes as no surprise that Vegas offers an abundance of elaborate, themed hotels for travelers to enjoy. Themed Vegas hotels are virtual cities unto themselves, offering everything you will need to keep occupied, sheltered, and well fed. Within a three-mile stretch, visitors can see the
New York City skyline, the Eiffel Tower, an Egyptian pyramid, imperial Rome, a
dancing fountain, and an exploding volcano. A monorail links several hotels and
the Las Vegas Convention Center.Visiting these hotels is an attraction itself and I really enjoyed the lights, the scenes and the flavour.
This elaborate themed hotel brings
guests right into the heart of Venice itself, with detailed ceiling frescoes, a
winding canal complete with floating gondolas, and expansive Italian fountains
for swimming pools.
St. Mark's Square in the Venetian is a great place to
catch a free show. The Ariste del Arte performances featuring classic Italian
song, elaborate costumes, and stilt walking. In addition, you can take a
gondola ride for a fee.
The MGM Grand Hotel is another tourist attraction along the Strip.
Paris Las Vegas is just like stepping into Paris. You can even see a replica of Eiffel Tower and even can go up t get a bird eye view of the city.
Another fantastic hotel along the strip is the Treasure Island Hotel. At night they have a fantastic show and you will never miss it if you are walking by the hotel. They have a great colorful play of The pirates of the Caribbean.
Treasure Island's nightly pirate show,
a smoke-and-fire-filled pirate battle between a ship of bare-chested men and a
ship of sexy showgirl "sirens," is free.
Caesar's Palace is another huge hotel
where you can spend hours enjoying the ancient Rome. Modeled after ancient Rome, this themed hotel includes five towers. There
are eight Roman pools for you to enjoy and don’t miss the shows here.

At Caesars Palace Las Vegas

Bellagio Hotel is simply spectacular at night. It has a dancing fountain show at night and you will be drowned in its beauty and will simply admire the fantastic beautiful and colorful waters dancing to music and shooting into the night the sky.
Tourists flock nightly to Bellagio's dancing water
fountains, musically timed to shoot water as high as 460 feet in the air to the
tune of over 25 songs.
The Volcano at The Mirage is igniting
the Las Vegas Strip by combining fire with music and choreography -- beautiful
and thrilling at the same time. You will be spellbound to see this spectacular
view of a lifetime.

The Mirage's man-made volcano, voted Vegas' " Best Man made wonder" is free. In addition, the Mirage has Siegfried & Roy's Secret Garden and Dolphin Habitat, which is home to white
lions, white tigers, panthers, leopards, and bottle nose dolphins.
Las Vegas is incomplete if you don’t go
shopping. The 500,000 square-foot, retail and dining district,
Crystals, is one of Las Vegas' premier shopping experiences. City Center, the
spectacular multi-use development features an unparalleled collection of unique
hotels, luxury retailers and restaurateurs and entertainment.
Crystals
showcases an unprecedented array of the world's most exclusive retailers
including many flagship stores. For many of these brands, the Crystals'
location represents their largest in Las Vegas, the United States, or in some
cases, the world.
You will feel like shopping at night even though it is
a hot day afternoon. You will be lost for choice and I bought a Guess watch
here.
There are factory outlets where you can buy branded
items at rock bottom price.

You can go shopping from sunrise to sunset without seeing the sunlight in big shopping malls.
If you're really thirsty and want a
drink, visit the coca cola booth along the Strip .
This might be one of the cheapest places on the strip to have a quality
soda.
There's a bunch of Coke swag shirts, lunch boxes and pencils you can buy
if you want to advertise for free. But the best part is the $7 tastes around
the world tray. They have 16 sodas from different countries, some really
awesome and some downright awful.
In addition to this they sell large fountain
drinks and floats.
All in all, It's a nice air-conditioned place to take a
break from the heat.
You will simply love the atmosphere, the sights and
sounds without knowing the time of the day.
M&M World attraction on Las Vegas
Strip, has a charming front window display and once you step inside this
M&M's wonderland, you'll instantly feel the energy with the bright colors,
upbeat music and playful M&M's memorabilia.
M&M's World offers a wide range of M&M'S
chocolates and merchandise includes apparel, kitchenware, bedding, jewelry, and
glassware, as well as seasonal items and specially-designed M&M'S® branded items that reflect the
personalities of Las Vegas.
M&M chocolates in huge bottles with the color of your choice. You can buy in whatever color you like.
It will be
unfair for me not to reveal the other side of the coin about Las Vegas. Its
naughty, raunchy marketing slogan, ‘What happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas’,
represents the sinful side of tourism. It is about sex and sin, not
authenticity, green pastures and great mountain views.
Las Vegas has
been described as America’s ‘Disneyland of Sex’. One encounters Las Vegas’
sexualised culture even in the airport’s baggage hall. Big-screen televisions
show advertisements for seductive cabaret shows.
Taxicabs
display advertisements with female posteriors and little else promoting various
shows. Billboards advertise ‘shows’ and outside their doors clubs advertise
‘cabaret’ shows that, in essence, are just glorified strip shows.
Many are
costly double-page advertisements and claim to ‘bring’ the girls direct to you
in your hotel room — 24 h’. Yellow page advertisements boast of college girls,
student nurses, exotic beauties, wild teenagers of barely legal age, and
Russian and Asian teen petites. Most advertisements claim to provide ‘full
service’, implying that intercourse is available
The shirt of a ‘porn slapper’ advertises escorts and sex and
pornographic services for business on the Strip
In spite
of the law prohibiting obscenity in advertising, on magazine racks, and on the
streets of Las Vegas, there are free brochures and booklets explicitly
advertising various sexual acts for sale, mostly escort services.
Las Vegas
offers no guarantees that you’ll strike it rich at a slot machine or a
blackjack table. However, it does promise that you’ll get lucky under the
sheets, quite possibly with one of the most beautiful girls you’ve ever seen
presuming you have some extra cash in your pocket.
In Monte Carlo Hotel where I stayed there was a big Casino where people gathered to gamble the whole night and day
Cabaret in Las Vegas is almost everywhere. Strip tease shows and other sexy shows keep the town awake 24 hours.
Forget
the sin and the screen; go for the scene and the spin. Las Vegas is the most
illuminated city in the world. You will definitely return home with a lot of
fond memories, which will definitely want you to return to this wonderful city
when your eyes yearn for a feast.
