ENGLAND - LAND OF MANY SEASONS
I
have the opportunity to be in England the longest among all other European
countries. I have been to many places in England especially to London on many
occasions.

My
memories in Bradford are still vivid.I like this quiet town, which resembles a little Pakistan.
There are many wealthy Pakistanis owing houses and you can rent them easily from them. Halal food is at every corner of the road.
You can, not only buy halal foodstuff here but dine best Pakistani dishes in small eateries owned by Pakistanis. Bradford is close to many towns like Liverpool and Manchester. Yorkshire Dales where part of the hit movie, “The Sound Of Music” was shot here. This is a place where you see wonderful and beautiful scenery of English countryside and homes.
England
is unique in the sense, English is the official language and you will be not
lost at all in any part of England. The English people are friendly and
helpful. But in England you will face more Asians in your daily life rather
than the British.
What
I mean is, if you go to buy groceries you will probably land in an Indian or a
Pakistani shop or outlet. There are many eating-places owned by Asians, which
make it easier for you to digest. Some places in England even remind you of
India and Pakistan. Birmingham is full of Indians and Bradford is little
Pakistan.

Asian shops especially Indian and Pakistani |
In London, they even have Malaysian food at Malaysia Hall. The food is so so and the price is comparatively cheaper than eating at Indian and Pakistani Restaurants.
I
really love the countryside in England. The beautiful green meadows, the
grazing of sheep, the corn and wheat fields, the daffodils and the multi
coloured flowers which bloom at every corner of the country side is like a
piece of art work.

Liverpool is a beautiful seaside town. Fans from all over the world make the pilgrimage to Anfield, home of
Liverpool Football Club. Albert Dock is one
of the country’s top heritage attractions, boasting museums, galleries,
restaurants and bars. At the Dock, the Beatles Story is a huge draw for Fab
Four fans, and provides a fascinating insight to the life and times of the
Beatles.

Manchester is nothing but the football
club. Everything here is expensive and even to see the empty stadium, you have
to pay. There are a lot of museums, churches and Cathedrals, which I am not a
great fan. But just to look at what is Manchester and its football mania is worth
a trip.

London is the capital city of England
and the United Kingdom. It is the most populous city in the United Kingdom. I
love London for it has great punctual transport system and you can get in and
out of a bus or a tube with one ticket. I love the hop in and hop out buses.
You can visit all the interesting sights in London by hoping on and hoping off
from these buses with a single ticket on any number of times.
London has some world known attractions.
The tower of London, Trafalgar Square, Buckingham Palace, Westminster Palace,
Hyde Park and many other attractions. It has a lot of parks and gardens, which
are treat to our eyes. In spring London is basked in the glory of colourful
flowers.
Shopping
is simply great and if you are here during sales, you will get goods at unbelievable prices.
Oxford street is one of the best to see the hustle and bustle.

Drop in at
Harrods, probably the most glamorous and the most expensive shopping centre.
During
spring, England is a paradise of flowers and you will be lost for words to
describe the scene.
In
winter it will be bitter cold and you will be able to see snow and experience
what is cold weather like.

Another
spectacular place to visit is Yorkshire Dales. You’ll also find pretty market towns,
small villages and some fabulous attractions in the area ensuring the whole
family can enjoy this spectacular region.
England has many beautiful gardens and
parks and all are worth visiting during any season. Beautifully landscaped,
with plenty of activities, you will be lost in breathtaking beauties. Fly
a kite, ride a bike and let the kids loose on the play equipment. Many of
London's parks are also great for wildlife spotting - ducks, swans and
squirrels.

I
have been to many places around England, and the place, which really had the
most magnetic force on me, was Stratford- upon- Avon- the birthplace of William Shakespeare, steeped in culture and history. Set in
the beautiful rural Warwickshire countryside, on the banks of the river Avon,
it is one of the most important tourist destinations in the UK. It is the
perfect place for a vacation or short break.

Discover where the young William
Shakespeare courted his future bride Anne Hathaway at her picturesque family
home. Anne Hathaway's Cottage is a thatched farmhouse containing many original
items of family furniture, including the Hathaway Bed. It is nestled within
stunning grounds and gardens, overflowing with fragrant blooms and
traditional shrubs.

and further up
visit Midland Safari Park. This wonderful park has a lot of animals, which roam
freely and greet you.
On the way, you can stop at Birmingham- little India. Here you can visit the Cadbury chocolate factory.
It is worth the visit for you get to see and buy chocolates, see how it is made and even buy extra ordinary sizes of cadbury.

Birmingham’s food scene is
red hot – in more ways than one. The famous Balti triangle is home to some of
Britain’s best spicy Indian curries.

London is also the gateway to visit
other European countries. If you are in England at the right time of the year
you will not return home disappointed. London has everything to satisfy a tourist for what they come looking for.
